Autoresponders allow contacts to receive automated replies when they text in certain Keywords. Once the contact texts a certain keyword MessageDesk will automatically add that contact to a group for you.

This article will go over how you can make manual edits to these autoresponder groups.

Add Contact to Autoresponder Group

First, navigate to the main MessageDesk dashboard. Next, click on the Contacts tab on the side menu. When you are in the Contacts page, click on the Autoresponder group that you need to edit.

Click on the vertical ellipses that sit above where the members of the group are displayed. Next, click on the "Edit Group" tab. Then you will see the Edit Group pop-up menu.

At the bottom of the popup menu, there is a search bar labeled "Search for contacts." Search for the contact you would like to add to the group, click on their profile, and click the "Save" button at the bottom of the menu.


How to Remove Contact from Autoresponder Group

There are two different ways to approach deleting a contact from an autoresponder group.

Ellipses Method

First, navigate to the contacts page and click on the autoresponder group you would like to edit.

Then, click the vertical ellipses that appear next to the contact you would like to remove. Next, select "Remove from Autoresponder." It will then prompt you with a message so you can confirm that the individual being removed will get sent the unenrollment message.

You can choose to send or not send the unsubscribe message when you manually remove the contact.

Edit Group Method

First, navigate to the contacts page and click on the autoresponder group you would like to edit.

Click on the vertical ellipses that sit above where the members of the group are displayed. Next, click on the "Edit Group" tab. Then you will see the Edit Group popup menu. To remove a contact, click on the X next to their name and click "Save."

Congrats! You can now Add and Remove contacts from Autoresponder groups!
