MessageDesk Syncs Contacts and Invoices Both Ways, in Real-time with Xero

Learn how to connect your MessageDesk workspace to a Xero account.

  1. Select your data provider (Xero).

  2. Click "Connect to Xero" to connect your accounts and sync data with authorization through your Xero Account.

  3. Your accounting data including contacts and invoices will begin syncing with MessageDesk once the connection is established. MessageDesk will send you a notification once the sync is complete and successful.

Connecting to Xero (first-time)

Go to Contacts to select your data provider and click "Add Contacts".

For your data provider you have three options:

  1. CSV

  2. QuickBooks Online

  3. Xero

Select Xero.

You'll now get redirected to the Plugins module to establish your connection with Xero.

Click "Connect to Xero" to connect your accounts and sync data with authorization through your Xero Account.

Your accounting data including contacts and invoices will begin syncing with MessageDesk once the connection is established. MessageDesk will send you a notification once the sync is complete and successful.

Manually Triggering a Sync with Xero

Start by navigating to the "Plugins" module in your left-hand MessageDesk navigation.

Click on "Xero" to edit the connection settings.

To sync your already connected MessageDesk workspace with Xero click "Sync Now".

MessageDesk will then dispatch a manual sync request to fetch your contacts and invoices from Xero.
